Kate DicksonKate Dickson, Trust Director

Kate has considerable expertise developing and implementing restoration projects in a not-for-profit organisation. Kate has extensive experience of writing strategies and funding bids and knowledge of the requirements of the Heritage Lottery Fund and other funders. Kate is an architect and urban designer by training who specialised in the conservation of historic buildings in heritage environments whilst in private practice. She spearheaded the delivery of the Trust's two major capital projects in Ancoats - St Peter's and Murrays' Mills. She is a Trustee of the UK Association of Preservation Trusts and until recently served on the Heritage Lottery Fund Committee for the North West of England. She is currently a member of the Renew NW 'Places Matter' design review panel.

Patrick HurstPatrick Hurst, Projects Finance Manager

Patrick is a Chartered Accountant. He moved to the North West 22 years ago. Much of the time since has been spent with a Manchester based freight forwarding business, with which he continues to maintain a relationship. His career has included public and private companies, including, most recently, an interim role with an employee owned business. He joined the Trust in May 2005 in order to experience the challenge of working in the not-for-profit sector. This has included the financial management of the £12m Murrays' Mills project and the development of a business strategy for the future of Heritage Works as a sustainable, non-grant dependent organisation.

Jennifer GoslingJennifer Gosling, Project Manager

Jennifer trained as an artist and was previously employed by the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham. More recently, as a Presenter at The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, she developed and delivered the public programme of events. Jennifer is currently completing the Ancoats Buildings Preservation Trust's Skills, Schools and Stories project, and acts as Project Manager for the Causey Hall project.

Stephen HandleyStephen Handley, Project Manager

Stephen is a qualified landscape and urban designer with experience of regeneration and project development. Stephen has produced development strategies for heritage assets within renewal areas and has been successful in attracting large scale funding into projects from a variety of sources.

He has been involved in community consultation activities, outreach projects and training events, providing design, planning and funding guidance to the whole spectrum of local population.

Stephen joined Heritage Works in December 2007 and is currently leading on our Causey Hall development project in Halifax and the Whaley Bridge Transhipment Warehouse feasibility study commission for British Waterways.

Lorna TittleLorna Tittle, Administrator

Lorna joined Heritage Works in November 2005. She undertakes general admin duties and is responsible for the maintenance of the Heritage Works website.
